Carving spoons is an excellent way to learn about carving with an axe and knife. It's also fun, satisfying, and relaxing. I run workshops for groups and individuals, and sell my work in the shop.
Progress from spoon carving, and use a few more simple hand tools and skills. From tree to finished drinking cup or bowl for your everyday items, you will be shown and practice the whole process.
Many British trees are suitable for making items for the camp or home. Join us on relaxing workshop learning about natural cordage & containers, or view the unique items available in the shop.
Bushcraft is a very diverse subject. Workshops on individual skills such as firelighting or longer weekends covering the essential subjects are available.
Foraging is a great chance to engage with the natural world. I provide guided walks in plant identification, concentrating on those suitable for the food, medicinal, and craft uses.
